Key Stage 1 Curriculum
In Years 1 and 2, children build on the strong foundations laid in the Early Years. We place a strong emphasis on reading fluency, phonics and mathematical reasoning, while ensuring that the wider curriculum remains broad and exciting.
Children participate in regular PE sessions, forest school activities and creative projects. We follow a systematic synthetic phonics programme and encourage a love of reading through our well-stocked school library and regular author visits.
