After two years of dedicated work by our Eco Council, staff and families, Bramblewood Primary School has been awarded the Eco Schools Green Flag with Distinction — the highest accolade in the programme.
The assessor praised our school garden, wildlife meadow, composting programme and the way environmental awareness is woven throughout our curriculum. Special mention was given to our 'No Mow May' campaign and the Year 4 water audit project that led to the installation of rainwater harvesting butts.
'The children at Bramblewood are genuine eco-warriors,' the assessor noted. 'Their understanding of sustainability is exceptional for their age.'
