What a day for Bramblewood! Our Year 5/6 cross-country team competed against eighteen schools at the Somerset Schools Cross-Country Championships held at Vivary Park, Taunton.
In challenging muddy conditions — which our Forest School regulars took in their stride — the team showed incredible determination and teamwork. Individual highlights included Amelia finishing 3rd in the girls' race and Kai taking 5th in the boys'.
But it was the collective effort that won the day, with all eight runners finishing in the top half of the field to secure the team championship.
Mr Whitfield said: 'I couldn't be prouder. These children train before school twice a week and their dedication has really paid off.'
