About Bramblewood
Bramblewood Primary School is a single-form entry village school with 210 pupils, situated in the heart of the Somerset countryside. We have been serving our community since 1876 and our beautiful Victorian building sits alongside modern facilities including a purpose-built Early Years unit and extensive outdoor learning spaces.
We are a maintained school, part of the Somerset local authority family. Our last Ofsted inspection rated us 'Good' across all areas, with inspectors praising our 'strong sense of community, excellent behaviour and the way outdoor learning enriches the curriculum.'
Our seven classes are organised in mixed-age groups: Reception, Year 1/2, Year 2/3, Year 3/4, Year 4/5 and Year 5/6. This structure allows us to provide personalised learning that meets each child where they are, while fostering the kind of cross-age friendships and mentoring that make small schools so special.
